Carrie Williams

Carrie Williams is the Director of Student Disability Services at East Texas A&M University. She provides strategic direction for the disability services team and oversees the development, delivery, and evaluation of ongoing student accommodation initiatives. Prior to transitioning to higher education, Carrie served as a K-12 Special Education teacher for over fifteen years. Throughout her K-12 career, she was a core member of the Behavior Intervention Team (BIT) and the lead teacher in a Behavior Support Classroom. Driven by a passion for educational equity, Carrie strives to create an environment where every student can thrive, ensuring their diverse needs are met with understanding and compassion. Carrie has transferred her K-12 BIT knowledge to the Higher Education setting as a core member of ETAMU’s team.
