Rachel is the founder, owner, and principal animator of Blue Seat Studios, an award-winning company that specializes in using humor to teach big ideas to kids and adults. Schools and organizations nationwide use Blue Seat Studios’ animated content to foster conversations about Consent, Title IX, Anti-Bullying, Online Safety, Mental Health Support, and more.
Rachel is a former researcher and an educator, having taught physiology, biology and math at both the high school and college level. She has a B.A. in Biology from Brown University and an M.Ed. in educational psychology.
She is a lifelong artist who has worked in print illustration, design and graphic recording. Through Blue Seat Studios, Rachel has found a way to combine her love of making art with her passion for distilling complex concepts, seeking to make the world a more equitable place, and using humor to educate people of all ages.
She is also the author of the Kirkus starred books Consent (For Kids!), The Worry (Less) Book, and Be Smart About Screen Time, which are published by Hachette Book Group, Little Brown for Young Readers.
