Sherry Leung (she/her) is the Director for Student Outreach & Support where she has demonstrated a strong commitment to fostering student success through comprehensive programming and collaboration across various university departments. In her role, she oversees the CARE Team and supports GW’s various basic needs initiatives including The Store, and the student assistance funds managed by DSA. She has also worked as a Student Case Manager at The Peabody Institute of The Johns Hopkins University, and as an Area Coordinator at George Washington University. Sherry grew up in Queens, NY, and is proud to be a first-generation graduate with her Bachelor of Arts in History and Adolescent Education from the State University of New York at Geneseo, and her Master of Arts in Higher and Postsecondary Education from Teachers College at Columbia University. Outside of work, Sherry enjoys trying out new recipes, running, and cheering on the New York Knicks!
