Valerie Glassman, Ed.D. (she/her/hers), is Senior Director for Student Affairs at the University of North Carolina School of Medicine, where she leads integrated advising, student success, wellness, and compliance systems supporting approximately 900 medical students across multiple campuses. She brings over 20 years of leadership in higher education, including 13 years as Assistant Dean of Students at Duke University, with deep expertise in student conduct, crisis response, and institutional policy. A nationally recognized scholar-practitioner, her work explores restorative justice and the professional impacts of increasingly complex and public-facing student affairs work.
