Key Insights from ATIXA’s 2025 State of the Field Survey

Published on: March 30, 2026

An ATIXA Tip of the Week by Mandy Hambleton, M.S., and Saundra K. Schuster, J.D., M.S.

Every two years, ATIXA surveys Title IX professionals to capture data on emerging trends, operational challenges, and structural practices. The 2025 results identify budgetary constraints, stakeholder support, employee turnover, the evolving legal landscape, and Title IX staff training as the most pressing issues facing practitioners today.

With 924 respondents and an overall completion rate of 57%, the 2025 survey offers a strong snapshot of the field. The majority of survey respondents work in higher education (82%), followed by K-12 schools and districts (14%) and organizations with Title IX compliance responsibilities (4%), including government agencies. The findings provide useful benchmarks for evaluating your own program’s structure and sustainability.

We recently explored this topic during a members-only Time with IX event. Below are key takeaways and practical strategies drawn directly from that conversation to help you move from insight to action.
