Brooke DeSipio has her Ph. D. in human sexuality from Widener University. She is the inaugural Director of the Survivor Support and Intimacy Education Office at Lehigh University in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania. She uses healthy sexuality education to help prevent gender based violence on college campuses. She specializes in consent, trauma, Title IX, sexuality education, and healthy relationships. She is the co-developer of the “Sex Communication” framework for consent education. She is a faculty member in the Women, Gender, and Sexuality Studies department and teaches the intro class and internship, as well as, classes on college hook-up culture, college sexuality, sexual identities, and gender violence in popular culture and sport. Her research focuses on gender violence prevention for affiliated groups such as college athletes and fraternities and sororities, as well as college students’ negotiation of sexual scripts and consent. She is currently serving as the board president for a Lehigh valley non-profit Crime Victims Council, as well as serving on the ATIXA advisory board.
