Jamie Thayer is the Title IX Coordinator at University of Maryland Global Campus. In this role, Jamie facilitates Title IX training and prevention programming, responds to reports of sex discrimination and sexual misconduct, and supports parties involved in the Title IX process from intake to closing.
Prior to joining UMGC, Jamie was the Director of Clery Compliance at Georgetown University. She was also served as the Director of Institutional Equity and Title IX Coordinator at Pittsburg State University. Prior to working in higher education, Jamie was a Probation and Parole Officer for seven years, specializing in sex offender supervision.
Jamie double majored in Psychology and Criminology as an undergraduate, then Criminology as a graduate student at Missouri State University. In her free time, Jamie can usually be found at the barn with her horses.
