Nicoli (pronounced Nicole) Richardson is the Systemwide Title IX Director at the University of California, Office of the President. Her work focuses on providing education, guidance, and strategic and investigative support to the Title IX Offices at UC’s 10 campuses, six academic health centers, and the Lawrence Berkeley National Lab. 

Before joining the UC, Richardson served as the Assistant Vice President and Deputy Title IX Coordinator for Healthcare at the University of Southern California’s Office for Equity, Equal Opportunity, and Title IX, now called the Office of Civil Rights Compliance. There, she managed responses to all reports of discrimination and harassment, particularly Title IX matters, arising in the healthcare context, including at USC’s academic medical centers, affiliated hospitals, and all healthcare-related schools and academic programs.

Prior to her time at USC, Richardson worked for more than a decade as a private practice attorney, handling various civil matters arising in the healthcare industry, including those involving sexual misconduct and discrimination.

Richardson earned a B.A. in English with a minor in Spanish from Stanford University and a J.D. from the University of Miami School of Law. She serves on the ATIXA Advisory Board,  and, in her spare time, enjoys creative pursuits such as pottery and knitting. She is also an avid reader and baker.
