ADA/Section 504 Foundations for Higher Education

This course is designed to equip Title IX Coordinators and disability/access administrators with a thorough understanding of the disability laws that regulate an institution’s efforts to offer reasonable accommodations in postsecondary academic environments.

Participants will gain knowledge about the legal frameworks that apply to institutional recipients of federal funding, principles for determining reasonable accommodations, strategies for implementing the process in higher education, the grievance process, best practices in organizational structure, and how the accommodation process can support individuals during pregnancy and related conditions.

Supporting Pregnancy, Parenting, and Related Conditions Workshop

Gain a comprehensive understanding of the Title IX regulatory requirements and ATIXA’s recommended best practices for accommodating pregnant students, employees, and individuals with pregnancy-related conditions.

Those attending a certification course will receive a certification for the course as well as recertifying credits (CCCs) for any current certification for a 2-year time period.

All our courses and workshops will receive a digital badge denoting completion.

The zoom link and course slides will be accessible 3 days prior to the start of your course. Please note you have access to the ATIXA Event Lobby from the point of registration through 3-months post-course and workshop.
