Alexis Martinez, Ed.D., J.D.

Dr. Alexis Martinez is currently the Executive Director, Equity & Compliance Programs and the Interim Title IX Coordinator at Georgia Institute of Technology. In this role, she oversees the institute’s ongoing commitment to the ethical and legal compliance in the areas of the ADA, Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act, Title VII, Title IX, and VAWA.

Prior to joining Georgia Tech, Dr. Martinez served in a senior student affairs role at several law schools, including Georgia State University and St. John’s University, responsible for academic matters, professional development, student discipline, orientation, disability services, financial aid advising, as well as student organization advisement and leadership development. She was also previously served as the chief conduct officer at Nova Southeastern University. She currently serves on the Advisory Board for the Georgia Latino Law Foundation, as well as the Committee on Membership and Member Services for the National Association of College and University Presidents (NACUA). She has created and taught a Higher Education Law Course in a doctoral program, and as well Professional Responsibility and Leadership for Lawyers.
