Dylan (they/them), MA is a 28 year old queer, trans, nonbinary, autistic, Jewish human from Bethesda, Maryland who has spent the last 10 years on Lenape land in New York City.
Their life mission is to make the world a better, safer, and more inclusive place for LGBTQ+ folks and autistic individuals through their work as a LGBTQ+ and autism focused special educator, sex educator, consultant, speaker, and advocate.
Dylan is currently a doctoral student in Special Education and Equity and Justice Scholar at the School of Education at the University of Pittsburgh, where their doctoral work focuses on creating a queer and trans inclusive, autistic focused sex education curriculum. They are also the Program Coordinator for LGBTQ+ Outreach at Barnard College of Columbia University, their alma mater, where they meet the needs of LGBTQ+ students through programming and providing competency training to faculty, staff, and administrators around best practices for supporting that student population. In their free time, they love going to Broadway shows, doing Peloton rides, snuggling with their almost 19 year old cat, and eating brunch at the same three places with their absolutely incredible best friends.
They have presented at several national conferences, including the Division of Autism and Developmental Disabilities Conference and the National Sex Ed conference, and led professional development for educators all across the country.
