Raychel Fauntroy is a recent May 2023 graduate from Howard University. She graduated Summa Cum Laude with a B.S in Human Performance/sports medicine with a psychology, and Biology minor. She is a first year Graduate student studying Nutritional Sciences with hopes of becoming a sports dietician and a strength and conditioning coach for the NFL. Raychel was a member and former team captain of the historic Howard University Swimming and diving team which is the only Historically Black College and university with a swim team. She was featured on the cover of sports illustrated in the February 2023 issue and is now the graduate assistant coach for the swim team this year in hopes of helping the women’s team win their first conference championship title in history and the men win another.
