Approach Intake and Initial Assessment with Greater Confidence
This workshop is designed for individuals who want to improve their skills at managing compassionate intake, making jurisdictional determinations, and documenting the results of an initial assessment, including any dismissals, referrals, or appeals that may arise.
Attendees will participate in small group breakout sessions where they will work through a set of brief case studies that challenge them to apply the ATIXA practices. In addition, the workshop includes an interactive group discussion of the case studies, advanced techniques, and common mistakes to avoid.
Pre-tests, Post-test, and Verification
ATIXA offers optional pre- and post-tests. Participants should complete the pre-test independently, in a closed-book format, before reviewing course materials. It establishes a baseline for comparison with the post-test and does not affect certification status.
Completing the course grants Certification. Passing the post-test provides an opportunity to earn Verification, which demonstrates comprehension of the material beyond participation alone.
Pre-tests are available from the time the event lobby opens until training begins. Post-tests are open-book, may be retaken until a passing score is achieved, and remain accessible for 90 days after the training. ATIXA staff members cannot reopen tests once the access period has expired.
Gain the skills to manage challenging situations such as reluctant complainants, the need for the Title IX Coordinator to sign a complaint, emergency removals, and feel confident managing dismissals, appeals, and referrals under the Title IX Regulations.
