AMPP is a streamlined version of the 1P1P model. Whereas 1P1P addresses all forms of discrimination (race, age, religion, disability, etc.), the AMPP more narrowly offers model policies and procedures for Title IX (sex/gender) compliance only. Some institutions use a unified approach, while others prefer stand-alone policies and procedures to comply with Title IX.

View Who’s WhoWith flexibility comes tough choices. There are several dozen decision points where the new regulations offer schools and colleges the flexibility and discretion to frame policies and procedures (P&P) to suit institutional needs. So, how should you frame them? ATIXA has taken a position on each of these decision points, all of which are laid out in the Position Statement below which is free for members. In the statement, each point is framed, and then ATIXA’s recommendation for institutional implementation is provided. This is a document that offers succinct bullet points as to “what” ATIXA recommends. However, it does not address “why” ATIXA makes these recommendations. For detailed discussion of “why,” please register for day two of ATIXA’s Regs Implementation Certification Course. All ATIXA model P&P are written to reflect ATIXA’s recommended approaches as the default for each decision point.
